Latest Information Regarding Our Move to a New Clinical System


From the end of day of 8th September 2023 our online services will not be available.

We are preparing to transfer to a new clinical system from 19th September 2023. We are confident the system (which is widely used by practices across the country and is the preferred NHSE provider) will enable us to improve our services, in particular our dispensing service.

As we prepare to go live we must have a cut-off period of one week to ensure we are able to transfer all data from one system to another during the week of 11th to 16th September 2023. For 10,000 patients this is significant work behind the scenes.

Medication Ordering and Dispensary

The dispensary cannot order stock during this week owing to stock entering on the new clinical system and training that is taking place on day one of the go live. 

Due to the aforementioned reasons we will be issuing prescriptions for any newly ordered medications to take away during the week of 11th to the 16th September only. This is a temporary and one-off measure as we switch to the advanced system. Please try, where possible to delay any medication ordering until after 19th September. Patients who are vulnerable will be able to leave their order with us to enter and dispense on the new system from 19th September 2023.

Any existing medication orders that are already in the dispensary will be dispensed next week, however if we do not have stock then you will be issued with a prescription to take away.

Anything acutely issued by the clinicians or anything very urgent will continue to be dispensed unless we do not have stock of the item, in which case a prescription will be issued as a one off.


We will be running a limited appointment system during the week 11th to 15th September 2023 with limited access to advance appointments. Once we go live usual service will resume.

Online Access

Access to online will switch off on 8th September 2023 and will not resume until 20th September 2023.

You will need to uninstall your NHS App after this date and reinstall it to gain access again.

If you do not have this facility application packs to gain access to the new system will be available in reception from this 21st September 2023.

Medication orders will need to be done in paper form/email until the service resumes.
