The surgery provides a comprehensive travel service and is a registered yellow fever centre.
Patients are advised to make an appointment at least 6 weeks before travelling. Depending on destination the first appointment may take up to half an hour, so please allow enough time for your appointment.
Some vaccinations are free on the NHS to registered patients
Other vaccinations are charged: the more common ones of these are paid for when given. The less
common vaccinations are paid for in advance and then ordered on a named patient basis.
Patients not registered with the practice (including university students returning home
for the holidays) have to pay for all vaccinations.
Advice is available for malarial prophylaxis. Anti-malarials may be purchased from the dispensary, these are not available on the NHS.
All patients (including each member of a family) need to complete a travel form which must be received as soon as possible by the surgery. Delay in receiving your travel form may result in an extra appointment being required. Travel Form (to submit on line)
