FLU VACCINATIONS 2013/14

Reminders for flu vaccines are not routinely sent out. Please ring for an appointment if you are eligible.

Appointments will be bookable after 1st September 2013. Details of clinics will be posted here when available.

Eligible patients include those:
Over 65 years of age, or those who have one of the following conditions
Diabetes
Heart disease
Kidney disease
Asthma/respiratory disease
Liver disease
Chronic neurological disease (excluding stroke and TIA)
Pregnancy
Immunosuppression (including that caused by medication)

Closures for Staff Training

The surgery is committed to maintaining a high standard of service, and this requires ongoing training of all staff. Most training sessions are over the lunchtime period which may result in extended closure on some days. Details of the dates and times can be found on our Opening Hours page.

GP Registrar

In April 2010 Comberton and Eversden surgery was approved for postgraduate general practice speciality training.
Dr Wheatley is the GP trainer and Dr Kent the Associate GP trainer.
We will have a registrar working with us for 6 or 12 months as part of their speciality training. At times they will be directely observed by Dr Wheatley or Dr Kent in a joint surgery as part of their assessment.
Dr Fleming joined the practice on 3 August 2011 for an initial period of 12 months. We are delighted that Dr Fleming will staying on with the practice on a part time basis as a registrar from August 2012 for a further year.

Dr Shepherd's sabbatical

With effect from Monday 27th May Dr Shepherd will be taking a six month sabbactical. During this time
Dr Jassim Ali who will be acting as her locum. Dr Shepherd's patients will routinely be offered appointments with Dr Ali during this time.

Musculoskeletal Services in Cambridge
