NEW OPENING TIMES FOR EVERSDEN SURGERY

Eversden surgery will be closed at lunchtimes between 12:30 and 1:30 from Monday 2nd March 2009.
This is to allow for staff training and administrative work to take place.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause

INTERNET ACCESS

You can now book (or cancel) your doctors appointments and order repeat prescriptions on the web through EMIS Access.

NEW TIMES FOR COMBERTON DISPENSARY PHONE

The dispensary phone is now available at the following times:
Mondays to Fridays
10:30am to 12:30pm and 3:30pm until 6pm

The phone is for dispensary queries and for the elderly, housebound to re-order their medication. Routine requests for repeat medication should be ordered via the internet, through the post, or by order slip left at the surgery.

FIRST CONTACT SURGERIES

From the 13th October 2008 we will have a new service for urgent appointments. Mrs Denise Richardson will be joining the team as a nurse practitioner. Denise is able to consult with patients who have acute infections or other new conditions. She is able to prescribe medication and refer urgently to Addenbrookes when required.

FLU VACCINATIONS

SEPARATE CLINICS WILL BE RUN FOR SEASONAL (REGULAR) FLU VACCINATIONS and SWINE FLU VACCINATIONS


Seasonal flu vaccination program
The vaccines against the regular annual flu have been delivered early this year.
Clinics started week commencing 7th September.
Vaccination is by appointment only and appointments can be booked NOW
As usual regular clinics will be held at both Comberton and Eversden surgeries and a clinic in Grantchester, Coton and Barton.
If you eligible for the annual flu vaccination against seasonal flu, please make an appointment as soon as possible


Swine flu vaccination program
Vaccination clinics are now operating 3 or 4 times a week
If you are in one of the priority groups, please ring for an appointment - vaccinations can only be offered in specific clinics and cannot be done during any other appointments
At present vaccine supply is limited and the priority groups will be offered the vaccine first.
If you are aged between 6 months and 64 years of age and belong to one of the following groups you are currently in the priority group
Chronic heart disease
Diabetes
Stroke
Kidney disease
Liver disease
Asthma if you regularly use a preventer inhaler
Other respiratory disease
Pregnancy
